Storm Damage – Hickory Home
Storm Damage at this Hickory home resulted when the attic and ceiling were soaked by rainwater when a thunderstorm accompanied by high winds tore a section of roof from the house. Rainwater pooled above the ceiling shown in the picture above. SERVPRO was called in to provide tarps for the roof to stop the rain from entering the interior of the home during the storm. We were also asked to mitigate the water damage and repair the damaged roof and ceiling after the storm had passed. We tore out a section of the ceiling to allow the drying of structural elements in the attic. We facilitated roof repair at the same time. We employed industrial air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the attic.
